Most of these systems required specific boots; many didn’t work well in powder; and none of them were as comfortable and reliable as a regular two-strap binding. Nidecker spent four years developing their own solution that addresses all these issues, and it’s a genuine game changer.

The Supermatic works using a triggered hiback called Drop-In Tech. Just push your foot in through the back and step down on the heel pedal to automatically engage the binding. That’s it – you’re ready to shred. A simple release lever makes exiting just as rapid. The straps are the same comfy AuxTech design found on the traditional high-end bindings. Adjust them once, then lock them in place using the aluminium Locking Slap Ratchets to enjoy a perfect fit every time. The beauty of this system is that it works with any boot from any manufacturer, and there’s no fiddly mechanism to get clogged. If the slope or snow conditions demand it, you can even strap in just like a regular binding.

• The Reclining Hiback creates the fastest automatic entry system. It fully folds down, creating a large opening to conveniently drop in your boot.
• The heel pedal activates the automatic closing of the hiback and straps, and locks the engagement system. This mechanism is self-cleaning to avoid snow build-up, and there are three engagement clicks for increased security.
• As you recline the hiback, the footstrap gets actively lifted out of the way, so you can easily and conveniently get your boot in and out. The straps hug your boot with the tightness at which you first set them, each & every time you drop in.
• Designed to feel and work like a two-strap, the Hybrid strap’s ankle-toe connection keeps the straps in place for easy entry. It also transfers energy more efficiently and allows the straps to be ridden a bit less tight.
• The heelcup roller reduces friction and guides the heel of the boot down, for buttery-smooth entry and exit.
• Reduces friction with the outsole of your snowboard boot. Allows you to easily slide in and out, without compromising the underfoot comfort of our 2.5° Bankbeds.
• Push to unlock the engagement system and lift your boot up & out. The release lever is located on the medial side of the baseplate for maximum ergonomic efficiency and protection from external triggers.
